Rose is going to NYC!

It is with much pride and excitement today that we congratulate one of our longest-running students and Studio Mentor, Rose, for successfully gaining acceptance into the prestigious New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts in New York city!

Rose was successfully selected from numerous candidates applying worldwide and was handpicked by Conservatory Director, Richard Omar.

Rose has studied with the studio since she was just 3 and a half years old and has dedicated her time to perfecting her craft. Rose has worked diligently and consistently to achieve exceptional results at local and National Eisteddfods, in productions and showcases. Rose has appeared in movies, on TV and in countless productions and performances.  Over the years Rose has topped Queensland and Australia for her examination results with renowned examination body, Trinity College London.  Rose was also a regional finalist in the World Monologue Games 2021.

Not only is Rose a dedicated performer, she is also an advocate for diversity in the arts, lobbying for the inclusion of disabled artists. In our 2020 production, Live Through This, Rose wrote and performed her own verse, which was exceptional not only in performance but in creation, providing an apt and provocative commentary on ableism in society.

Shakespeare is a passion Rose shares with us at the studio and since early childhood she has entertained us with countless verse and character performances.  Her affinity for Shakespeare is graciously passed down to the next generation of young performers at the studio!

Rose will continue to study advanced acting training with us and mentor at the studio until making the move to the USA.

It is with immeasurable pride that we congratulate our talented Miss Rose and wish her continued success as she prepares to take on the best of the best in New York!
